Tunes 92.5 celebrates its 16th Annual Christmas Crusade for Kids this year. Since its inception in 2008, the program has fulfilled the holiday wishes of over 8,000 local children and families.

#GIVENNY

#giveNNY began in 2017 as a grassroots, community-based movement to unite tri-county nonprofits in a local day of giving on #GivingTuesday.

In 2018, fourteen nonprofits that serve residents of Jefferson, Lewis and St, Lawrence counties participated and were each awarded a share of money raised during the campaign. #giveNNY helps to unite the region’s nonprofit organizations through a collaborative effort that highlights the important work they collectively achieve, in partnership with donors, in the communities where we live.

The movement ensures every gift of every size can be combined for greater reach. It is also unique in that participating nonprofit organizations are as diverse as the region, including, but not limited to, sectors of human service, arts and cultural, environmental and educational.

In 2019, twenty-seven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations located in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties answered the call to join the 2019 #giveNNY campaign as a way of putting community philanthropy above the specific interests of each organization. At the conclusion of the campaign, 100 percent of the amount raised was distributed equally among the participating charitable organizations as grants from the Community Foundation.

Tunes Tools for Schools

If you’ve stopped in to one of our local JRECK SUBS locations lately to grab your hometown favorite sub, you may have noticed the brightly colored posters asking ‘North Country’ residents to think ‘back to school’ donations between bites.

For a 14th year in a row, the team at Intrepid Broadcasting, Inc. (TUNES) joined forces with JRECK Subs to collect assorted school supplies for our local school districts, teachers and especially our local students and parents that could use the assist. It seems like that ‘back to school’ list grows longer each school year and NNY families are oftentimes stressed trying to get it all ‘checked off’ in time for those 1st day photos. In fact, our teachers go into their own pockets more often than we’d like to think! It’s because of those needs that our team is pleased to announce the results from our 2019 campaign!

NNY Bridal Showcase

Tunes 92.5/104.5 and the Mead Family present the 34th annual NNY Bridal Showcase, Northern New York’s largest and longest-running bridal show. Save the date for Sunday, January 11th, 2026, 11:00am to 4:00pm. The 2025 show will take place at the Salmon Run Mall in Watertown. Brides and grooms can talk face to face with wedding experts, and enjoy mimosas and Bloody Marys while shopping and checking things off of the To-Do list. Attendees have a chance to win a honeymoon trip for two, as well as thousands in prizes from wedding professionals from all over New York.

Local Lip Sync

The local lip sync contests invite individuals, duos and group acts from all over NNY to compete for top prizes while having a great time as well. Local lip sync announcements encourage performers to bring their A-games with creativity, choreography and, of course, perfect lip sync technique. Keep your eyes peeled on TUNES social media pages for new event dates happening throughout the year!
